Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

I managed to drink at least 95% of the liquid. Eugh. So gross. But am here, checking in and waiting to be called (something tells me it’ll be a while since they said get here at 830 for a 930 procedure, but I’d be happy to be proved wrong!)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Easy procedure~ma, meara

I just saw the SD news, yikes! Thanks for checking on epic, msbelle, hope she pops up somewhere personally soonish to reassure me a little more because I am a worrier

I remember in the late 70s/early 80s my piano teacher very seriously telling my mother that we were in the end times because planes were falling from the sky just like the bible predicted. Seems almost quaint now

I got to my orthodontist appointment this morning only to find out that it's tomorrow. Well, better a day early than a day late. The receptionist told me that she had another person make the same mistake earlier. We were wondering if there was some weird glitch. Anyway...

Happy Birthday, Java Cat!

Safety ~ma Epic's way.

Good luck, meara! I don't enjoy the prep, but I do enjoy the anesthesia. My friend and I just had that discussion at dinner on Tuesday!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I managed to drink at least 95% of the liquid.

I couldn't get my final two doses in. It was fine.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

There is definitely a glitch in the matrix. There’s no way today is Thursday and I have to be packed to go out of town.

Done! So sleepy. Don’t gotta do it again for 10 years. Yay. Now to see if I can sleep through the construction noise of them digging a foundation catty corner from me

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Buffistaversary: June 2, 1999
first post, #1617 of 4014, motherthread, TT, Is Anyone Watching BTVS? by Agnes Bertiz

I'd gone with a friend to a poetry conference in Charlotte, guests Li Young Lee and Anne LaMott (and a troupe of Native American dancers in full regalia). A main feature of Annie's talk was her ASL interpreter. She messed with him by throwing random words and phrases into her speech, full stopping to watch him, and thanking him. It was fun. She mentioned Table Talk so I looked it up and tapped a few of the threads until I ran across Agnes' Buffy thread. Ta-da!

I was here for the "too many Davids" discussion where Dana named all three Davids present, and Hec and Knut adjusted their names to suit. (Hah! Inadvertant rhyme. Keeping it)

Like Laura said, this place has been a haven and a refuge, a source of solace in bad times, and a source of courage and light in other bad times, a place of friendship and hero worship and joy. (Fist to heart) You have my love and loyalty always. Ginger said she watched the people in the threads having lives and doing things for months before she decloaked. That Buffistas helped her get through chemo and she felt she knew us before she stopped being a lurker and joined us.
