I know I started posting during the Quote-off. Man, that was fun!
Ahhh, the quote deathmatch! I used to put a lot of energy into doing those.
We even had a phrase for when a quote lost because I ran a match during some time zone's lunch lull. I think we used Principle Snyder's "spazzed."
Like, "That quote got spazzed because Halifax was all out to lunch!"
We made our own fun.
I am supposed to present an award in a few hours so I'm trying to jot down some notes. I'm hoping some loose bullet points will give me a coherent enough through-line without resorting to reading a speech. Public speaking is very much not my wheelhouse.

LA F2F although I don't recall the year. Well, I never really lurked. I *think* I found Buff Diving and then finding the Board that night or the next day.

I stumbled onto TT sometime in 2000 - I was just out of college and working as a temp, mostly on receptionist gigs that left me with a LOT of time to waste online in-between answering phones.
I came here after the board address was on the last aired episode of Firefly which I think was around the LA F2F. I certainly saw pics from that during my fairly long lurk before posting. Took me a looong time to work up the nerve to post in Natter! Though I was in the show threads and even Bitches before that.
Spent the last two days lying down in a darkened room with a headache (not, I think, a migraine but persistent and wobbly-making) and today I am reporting for jury duty. Called in Friday to be told to call in again on Monday to be told to come to the courthouse, we’ll see what happens next.
