There's a house on the corner of the route I usually take to my parents' house that has been festooned with MAGA stuff for the last 8 years, the yard just filled with signs and whatnot. After the last election it seemed to scale back a little bit and was dominated by a large UNITE sculpture sort of thing which I thought was pretty rich. Over the last few months is has scaled back even more and now it's got a For Sale By Owner sign and everything else is pretty well cleared out. I can just imagine that some poor soul will buy the place and move in and go meet his neighbors and get greeted with "Oh, you're in the Trump house" because that is what everyone calls it

Yeah, the lack of full kitchen would be a deal breaker for me. While melon and deep rose are not my first choice of wall colors, I prefer them to greige, and I think those high ceilings can help strong wall colors work. My future dream home will probably say, “Not afraid of color,” too, just more in the blue-green-purple palette.
It’s too much pink even for me. Also generally just too small, but would really work as a short term rental.

what
It might just be a wrong shade, or might appeal to me if the space were empty.

I feel like it was servants quarters or an office as opposed to a broken up apartment - can't quite say why. It would be interesting to know the history.

Okay, this made me actually go back and see what I missed. Which I never do. So congrats.
Also, that is not "pink" but salmon verging on peach, which is why it looks horrendous. Even the pink in the bathroom looks warm somehow. And the rest of the decor is not helping. I'm not even sure cool blues and greens could save this one, because I think that apartment may be smaller than mine and I sleep in a walk-in closet for a bedroom.
Sad news*. I texted Todd last week to wish her a happy birthday, and today got a text from her sister Roxann telling me that she had passed away unexpectedly in March.
Oh no! Thank you, Vortex, for checking.
I have such vivid memories of how regal and elegant Todd looked at the DC F2F.
And she came out to SF one time, and I got to show her around the city and spend the day with her.
Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that. I know she had been having some health struggles. I was glad to get to see her on one of my various work trips to DC, but that was several years ago.
I drove her, Matt, and DX (I think just the three of them) around in a little New Orleans tour when the F2F was there.
