Lisah, that is terrifying. Glad she is on the mend.
Mom and I were supposed to head out to a friend's place in the Hamptons for what is likely her last Mothers Day. Alas, she's on a course of meds that are causing... purging... so a road trip was out of the question.
We opted for a picnic in the park. We ate fruit and pastries in the shadow of the GWB. The music was playing, the sun was shining, there was a group of old guys in a very heated dominoes match. It was lovely. Know that park sequence in In The Heights? Its basically a documentary.
Then I brought her home, got some roses, and gave her an Ancestry .com subscription as a present. It was a successfully pleasant day.
Those were the answers to various unrelated questions (ie “last name of the mascot whose full name is Charles Entertainment…” (cheese) and “name of the director of the first foreign language film to win best Oscar, in 2019” (Bong)) and then you’re supposed to figure out what they have in common and get points for figuring that out also. Sometimes if you can figure out what they have in common it helps—like we guessed “space invaders” for the video game but also thought of “pong” and if we’d realized the theme was “beer ___” we would’ve gone with pong!
That sounds like a lovely day, Trudy.
I would surely suck at Trivia. I may come up with answers, but I rarely do so quickly.
Connections is my favorite NYT daily game. I dropped Wordle a while back but Connections is my jam.
Are we discussing Andor anywhere? Mon Mothma and I need to have a little chat.

We're on Golden Time. She was supposed to have died in a year nearly two years ago.
