It's hard to watch, but ultimately we have to let other adults make their own choices.
That is one I learned very early on. Honestly, once you totally yield to allowing adults to make their own decisions, it takes away quite a burden. It's quite enough on our shoulders to make our own.
it doesn’t help that I’m not a morning person so it feels all weird anyway.
Yes, very much this!
it specifies not to mix it with anything but water and maybe the lemon flavor packet that is included on the side.
You might want to double-check with someone on the doctor's staff, if you can. I had one that specified that you could add sugar-free drink mixes, but at the time I had intolerance to artificial sweeteners (apparently often a side-effect of lactose intolerance). I explained to the nurse I spoke with that I couldn't have sugar-free drinks and they agreed that a drink mix with sugar should be fine. There may be some degree of latitude, but they just don't want people to take a mile for the inch they've been granted.
Either way, everyone agrees, mixing with cold water helps, drinking with a straw helps. And honestly, some of them aren't even that bad. They just taste like salt water (except the one I was given in the hospital - THAT was foul. Don't try to chug to just get it over with, though. That way led to vomiting for me. Yeurgh!)
Got a couple weeks to think about it though.
Honestly, this is sometimes the worst of it. You worry about the diet adjustments beforehand, you worry about getting the liquid down, you worry about bathroom visits (excessive, yes.) The procedure itself is a snap - I know they say "twilight sedation", but I've been out cold for every one so far. Try not to give it too much thought; soon you'll be on the other side.
Happy Birthday Karl!!
Calli fishing shirts with built in SPF are great. They also help keep you cool
I'm on my break and my earbuds are dead .and I'm dying because someone is watching Tiktok videos on a loop and I keep hearing the same sounds over and over.
So I had several days of no real stomach issues and then they came out fo the blue after I had fruit loops and milk. And then a turkey sandwich on wheat. It didn't seem to be connected to what I ate but maybe my stomach was having so much problems that I couldn't tell . So I'm trying to go gluten and dairy free and then I'll add one back and d what happens.
I still haven't heard about a GI consult and I need to call
Pretty hilariously, one of the Pope Contenders looks like my dad.
And one is named Scola.
And while Pope Pizzabolla would be amazing (yeah yeah... they change their name) I'm rooting for dad.
Adulting for the day complete.
Had a call with guy who holds my IRAs and is helping me plan for retirement. I got him info on my current job pension and my social security info and then had to own up to my debt. It’s not the worst, but it’s more than it should be. Bleargh!
Of course this makes me feel bad which
…..makes me want to spend $$.
I hope your GI issues clear up, askye.
I also saw the bit about Potential Pope Scola and delighted in the idea of our Tom getting a fancy hat and a ton of religious and secular power.
Where do I sign up for that world?
Quiet round these here parts….
I am irked I woke up for a 730am call and logged in, only to find out it was canceled. Ah well. Guess it got me up and showered.
I woke up to what I thought was my alarm, but turned out to be a dream of my alarm going off. Very confusing for a minute, and then just irritating.
