"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I had to run over here from Bluesky to share this with Sophia:

Heh!

I just did my one-on-one Pilates session with Rachael (the Queer Glamazon). I'm doing three sessions a week, but I really learn the most from her during these individual sessions, for the obvious reason that she's focused on fixing my technique and cleaning it up. She loves doing it, she's very good at demonstrating and giving me different visualizations and physical corrections.

I feel like I could I just focus on this with her for a month or two and I would be soooo much better. I'm already much improved as evidenced from which muscles are sore and her feedback.

My One Month Ozempic Report: I'm down 13 lbs, but I lost 9 in the first two weeks on the lowest dose, and just 4 over the next two weeks.

When I went from .25 to .5 I got very queasy for several days and it wasn't quite as effective at suppressing appetite. But also, there was a bunch of welcoming Matilda home meals and such, whereas when I was alone I could consciously meal plan more.

So they upped my dose to 0.75 for the whole next month and I'm already feeling queasy. (Also that was a little unpleasant to feel at Pilates since I was hinging so much at my waist but also just under my rib cage so pressing down on my wonky stomach.). But now I know the quease will pass in a few days.

Obviously I'm pleased to be down 13 lbs after a month, but I really want to get into the steady, less dramatic weight loss I had on the Dukan diet which was like 3.75 lbs a week, for around 12 a month.

My physique is noticeably changed though and my pants are drooping off my ass so I'm moving in the right direction and I'm highly motivated on both the Pilates and weight loss.

ION, I've been plagued by houseflies over the last month so I bought a hand-held bug zapper the other day and it's been gratifying if mildly horrifying to stalk and kill them with a big zap and spark.

It's basically a battery-powered, electrified tennis racket. The best technique is to hover over the flies and swat down on them, or catch them against a cabinet and just tap them. Horizontal swats never work.

I don't love the white cabinets in our kithen but they do make it very easy to spot the flies when they land.

Killed 8 this morning and 12 this afternoon. Die you little shit-flies!

Good job, Teppy's well-behaved, polite and considerate hand!

I bet it can't even flip the bird right now.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ooh, that is like three blocks from me. I’ll have to go by there on Saturday.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

We moved here to an invasion of ladybugs. As bug invasions go, not terrible, but very weird for a few weeks.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I bet it can't even flip the bird right now.

Flipping the bird is practically physical therapy!

You should practice on Murderbiscuit.

Over three pounds a week is a lot David! They don’t usually recommend losing super fast, it can mean you’re losing more muscle. But the Pilates sounds awesome! Jealous.

We had 140 people at line dancing tonight. That’s about twice what we’d been averaging last year. It is too many people. My god.
