These are also good: [link]
I want to try those!
Dang it, the Ladies Night at the Forge blacksmithing class was supposed to be this Friday (the 11th), but the class was cancelled because I was the only one who signed up.
If the rescheduled one is a time when I can do it, I'd definitely be interested.
Excellent! At this point, I think the earliest I can reschedule is September, because my carpal tunnel surgery is the end of this month, and once I recover from right-hand surgery, I have to have left-hand surgery, and once I recover from that I expect we'll be into July-ish, and I am definitely not going near a forge in Cincinnati in the summer, because that will be too damn hot. So September or October. I'll let you know when the time to sign up rolls around.
If you need less than a mega dose of ginger, I'm super fond of these: [link] .
I used to love these, but my teeth can’t handle them. I’ll check out the lozenges though. I really like just plain candied ginger is a quick bite too. It’s also naturally portion controlled because you really can’t eat more than a couple of pieces in a sitting without your mouth catching on fire.
I’m so envious of the blacksmithing class. I had a blast doing a glass working class last winter. I need to look for more things like that.
Don the party hats because today we celebrate the birth of NoiseDesign! I hope that you are spoiled by all those around you today. May the year be filled with happiness and may all your projects go better than anticipated!
Happy Birthday Noise Design!
Seeing a neighborhood cat jump up on the windowsill beside my bird/squirrel feeder this morning may have solved the mystery of why the squirrels haven't been frequenting it lately.
Many happy returns NoiseDesign!
I've lost 35lbs over the past few months. Eating less and exercising more.
Happy birthday, ND!
Just got off the phone with Matilda as we're firming up the travel details for her return.
She's sending her luggage ahead (this is a common service in Japan) so she doesn't have to carry it on the Shinkansen. She's leaving Kyoto on the 19th, and traveling with her friends to Tokyo for one day before she comes back.
Over Memorial day weekend, we'll be traveling to NYC for a wedding for Emmett's oldest godsister, Emily Mc. (She is the big sister of Maggie the Girl if you've been following along for several decades. Maggie the Girl is now a mother of two and living in Oklahoma.). Emmett and his GF will also be in attendance. Won't have much time to see people while we're there, but it will be Matilda's first trip to New York, so we'll hit a few places I love.
Grey and foggy and cold this morning but I really need to get a run in.
