I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ooh, apple tasting sounds fun!

I started to look into Storygraph and I got overwhelmed by something and bailed. Can't remember what the issue was, maybe I will try again.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

"I'd like to order an apple flight for the table..."

The Wunda chair at Pilates killed my abs. Also my right hip doesn't want to turn that way for the crossover maneuver and I had to use an extra pole for balancing because I was wobbly weebil. Sort of like training wheels.

But I did two pilates classes this week, and ran once and got in 13,000 steps another day so wobbling still counts.

The Ozempic is doing its thing and the odometer is rolling back slowly but surely.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

The Ozempic is doing its thing....

Are you noticing any side effects?

Our wings are not tired

This week is fired. It's been all uphill at the jobsite out here and it's been chilly and rainy most of the week and I've been dealing with all the onerous stuff about being the one in charge of the business.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Are you noticing any side effects?

Some minor ones but I'm still on the lowest dose. Occasional queasiness, but I can usually deal with that by having a bite of crystalized ginger, or a handful of nuts.

I've had reflux a couple times, but it wasn't acid reflux. That's when I've eaten again too recently. On Ozempic the entire alimentary canal is moving much more slowly so if there's no room for incoming food it seems to bounce back.

That's just a little weird - it's not as bad as "throwing up in your mouth" because there's no stomach acid involved. But that does teach you to let lunch sit and wait until dinner.

Very easily sated on a much smaller portion. The impulse for "bored mouth" (as the Japanese call it) eating is mitigated by making you fill overfull or blurpy.

I ate some pieces off a roasted chicken last night - just a thigh and drumstick - and that was fine with a small salad. Definitely trying to keep the greens going. Some Greek yogurt for the probiotics.

My biggest adjustment has been portion size. Just trusting that whatever I thought I wanted to eat, I should probably adjust it to half as much.

Every meal has been a small plate or small bowl and that's plenty.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

No, I do not believe I have any injuries, but I was already in a ton of pain. So, I’m not sure I’d even notice.

Erika, this one was molded plastic and it was supposed to hold more than twice my current weight.

Thrive to spite them

This week at work it's been stress. We have inventory on Monday so it's a push to get everything done. And Wed when I went in there was 1994 price changes. A normal busy week for us is like 600. The price changes I did the prices mostly went up by 10-20,cents. Some went down. Coffee had the biggest jump.

Then on my lunch break I got sucked into a religious debate and I knew I should have just shoved earbuds in my when it started.

I also got a call that while my procedure on Monday is at 7:45 I need to be there at 7 am. I still haven't heard about the head CT scan. The Dr hasn't heard anything either. If I don't by middle of next week I'm going to call the imaging place and ask about when I could expect the results.

E will be coming to see his NC family on Tue.thwt will be my only chance to see him this visit so we are going up there Mon I think.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Poor Tornado (the dog) woke up with her entire head all swollen, like she got stung or ate something bad. And she had a rash on her belly. So I gave her one of the leftover prednisone pills, and that helped, but she has barfed up water three times this afternoon, and is very anxious. I feel so bad for her.

I did my taxes, but since I owed money and I don't want to give DOGE access to my bank account, I paid the extra to pay with a credit card. Whoot. Done!

Should have cleaned house but that's about all I did. Oh, wait, I have a new Lego set and I put together a cute little Lego orca.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

With all the dire and yes even terrifying news, the high point of my sad week was probably the Murderbot 2 minute preview, which made it seem that they got so. much. right. about the books and characters.
