Punishingly Intricate

Whoa, Brenda! Take care of yourself!

I went to my friends to watch the eclipse but it was too cloudy here. It was fun hanging out on the roof in the middle of the night for a while though.

That does sound fun!

I was dreaming. About the Pope, strangely enough. First he was just a metal sculpture head, but you'll be relieved to know he eventually took human form.

I forgot to look for my passport when I went to bed. I'll check today.

I did not stay up until 3am to see the blood moon, but a friend of mine who is an amazing photographer did: [link]

Great picture!

Who’s got the bubble wrap?

Brenda, yikes!

Our wings are not tired.

Ouch, take it easy, Brenda. Falls are a very bad plan.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Love the picture! I did not even wake up/stay awake to try to see the eclipse but there has been a lot of rain any time I was awake so I don't think I missed anything

brenda! Yikes! Do not throat punch yourself!

Metal head pope sounds Neuromancer-ish

And my whole not knowing what day it is problem has gotten bad enough that not even am I not at all prepared for Pi Day I can't seem to remember that it is today for two consecutive minutes. What the hell, self?

I have also once again forgotten to apply coffee to all my problems, so maybe that will help.

I'm tickled at how the universe (or my health care system) is apparently trying to rush me through the process to get to the carpal tunnel surgery. I had an appointment with my PCP on Tuesday; she referred me for an EMG, which I had yesterday; EMG results showed severe carpal tunnel in my right hand requiring surgery, so PCP referred me to a hand surgeon; this morning I scheduled an evaluation with the surgeon for this coming Monday. If this pattern continues, surgery will probably happen very very soon. And that's fine -- I want to get it over with. And I'm kind of looking forward to a week off work so I can get through my Netflix queue.

That all sounds very good! Aside from the bit where you have carpal tunnel, that's not great. But yay on the speedy getting it fixed!

Yay for quick fixes! Did they say how long you won't be able to work? My guess is that wrists are helpful in editing.

The doctor who did the EMG said probably about 1 week, but maybe 2. I'll be curious to see what the surgeon says.
