I couldn't believe it the first twenty times you told us, but it's starting to sink in now.

Our wings are not tired.

We saw a Cybertruck yesterday that had apparently been left under a sprinkler system with well water. It didn't look like it could be fixed and the owner needs to embrace the rainbow look. We saw it from the highway so I didn't inspect it closely, but it was gasp worthy.

Sending birthday wishes out to Jon B. I've only seen him on FB, and I am not on there very often anymore, so missing him.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Unexpected All-Hands meeting this morning is unexpected! Here’s hoping it’s not a layoff announcement.

Our wings are not tired.

I think Kia/Hyundai do that too.

Thank you, Gud. They do! The Hyundai looks like it checks all my boxes. And the orange color rocks. I'm going to look at it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Best wishes, Calli! Hope it's something benign.

A cybertruck followed me out of the parking lot yesterday. That is, we left at the same time, not that they waited around for me to leave so they could follow me. I really wanted to see who the driver was but I couldn't. It's gotta be one of the executives, right? Just based on how expensive they are. Our owner drives a Tesla but it's a red sporty thing and he always parks in his reserved spot. I know they headed the other way at the interstate than I do, but that's it.

We’ve had Hyundais before and they were really solid. Hope it’s your new dream car!

Aw, I remember when a write up about some local band that was getting national attention emphasized that they were not yet really stars by noting that the lead singer drove a Hyundai

Thanks, -t! No layoffs announced this time. We’ll see what tomorrow’s NIH hearing on overhead reimbursement brings.

Good news so far Calli. Fingers still crossed.

Our wings are not tired.

All the job stress is so much worse than buying car stress, which is no fun. Job~ma all round.

Hyundai out as the remote parking is only on the combustion vehicles. Kia however has it on their electric cars. After 7 years all electric I can never go back.

I keep saying I'm going to get "ASK ME ABOUT MY FRAGILE MASCULINITY" stickers printed so that I can sneakily add them to parked Cybertrucks.

Ah, ha, ha, ha! I love that.

I think I missed a chance to say Happy Birthday to Beverly yesterday, so, Happy Birthday +1, Beverly!

And Happy Birthday to JonB.

DH should be progressing to a F2F interview for the current frontrunning job opp, sounds like. Maybe by next week, the interview. It's a really good fit for his skills and experience, so I have all my fingers and toes crossed. It's a contract-to-hire, which would be new for him, but, uh, he'll take it!

I am doing a 50+ job search workshop through the Jewish Council for Aging starting next week. Five full days on Zoom, every other day. Half doing it for, like, inspiration and stuff + making some contacts, but I a also expect I'll learn a thing or two + looking forward in particular to resume review/feedback. Plus, a refresher on how to interview.

(I actually did the same workshop four years ago, but then I got hired the very next week, so I never really put anything I learned to use! I do remember there was some useful info., though, so... why not!)

It's been a while since I had a "real" interview -- the last three jobs have been "I've worked with her; you'll love her," sort of... confirmational interviews? It's probably been more than 15 years since I interviewed with a "stranger." Yikes.
