The bodegas in NYC have started selling loosie eggs.

The bodegas in Rochester ALWAYS sold loosie eggs! It is just like, only poor people have bodegas. But, we do have corner stores- they are different- I think our bodegas are from people who came here from NY. They had loosie toilet paper during the pandemic. Also, the first time I heard someone calling "Cigarettes, Cigarettes! Loosies, Loosies!" at the bus stop I thought they were saying Lucy and was so confused!

Again, also, they get me half and half. Like, they don't normally carry it, but I asked, and they get it just for me :)

I’ve switched my browsers to duck duck go rather than Google. But just like Amazon, isn’t most of their income from hosting or storage or other “web services” now.

Just saw that a show that had been scheduled for the Kennedy Center was canceled. Finn, a musical for kids, about a shark who's told he's supposed to be mean and tough, but he wants to dance and be sparkly, and he learns to express himself and push to be seen as he wants to be seen and sparkle. As far as I can tell, there's nobody in drag, and no mentions of trans people, but even that amount of pushing back at gender roles isn't being tolerated under Trump's management.

My whole life kind of feels like an onerous task that I'm not even good at.(But that doesn't stop me from feeling competitive with others over things I don't even really want.(Wish feeling like a thought was stupid was enough to stop me having it, but not usually.) Trump ordered the SDNY to drop all charges against Mayor Adams, and the SDNY did not take it very well.

Not only did the NYT post the acting head of SDNY’s resignation letter, they also posted the bitchy response from her boss. (The acting head of SDNY was just appointed by Trump, is a member of the Federalist Society, and clerked with Scalia).

Several other prosecutors also resigned, in both NY and DC.

Meanwhile, someone tipped off The New York Post that prosecutors were prepping additional obstruction charges against Adams.

The SDNY prosecutors must be THRILLED that their suspect lied to them, and they have to let him go.
