Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I am so not in a good headspace right now.

Same. I didn't sleep very much Monday night, and while I did get a full night's sleep last night, it was full of nightmares.

Punishingly Intricate

I did sleep ok last night but had a dream that the house was burning down. lol brain. Way to be super subtle.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Same. I haven’t been sleeping well at all. And some really effed up dreams.

I’m remembering suddenly that my mom had a colleague years ago who was doing a study on masochistic dreaming in divorced men. The theory being that it was one of the brain’s mechanisms for processing pain when the conscious brain was resistant to doing so. (Masochistic meaning “bad things happen to you” in this context.)

Really don’t think that’s our issue though. More like the system is flooded.

I had a dream I fell for a cute and sweet... uh, terrorist, basically? Revolutionary would be kinder. I knew it couldn't actually be a lasting thing, but I snogged him anyway. I felt somewhat ambivalent about it, at least. He gave me blue and pink recycled gum in a container that looked like a mini egg carton, too, so there's that.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I think the universe heard me, because after I posted here, I checked Facebook, and saw a post that this Sunday, several organizations in my neighborhood are having an appropriately named Anti-Despair Resource Fair. Various organizations (mutual aid, reproductive justice, food access, disaster resilience, etc) will be there with ways to get involved. I definitely need this.

I'm also giggling because the post included: "Raffle! All prizes rad!" I can't pass up a chance to win rad prizes, can I?

Clearly, you cannot.

Anti-despair fair seems like an excellent plan. I am absolutely remembering some books about 1930s Germany right now and wondering…

Thrive to spite them

I want an anti despair fair.

I was amusing myself by filling out the DoGE application website with various names. And random info. And using a copy of the Constitution as my resume.

It wants 3 bullet points about experience so for Andrew Tater I put alpha male Alpha Male ALPHA MALE.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Nutria are all over Louisiana. That’s basically the extent of my knowledge.

Yeah. Do not squish the nutria.
