Good news, Dana!
Glad the eyeballs are working for you, Laura. I am due for a glaucoma check soon.
Itterasshai, David! (Come home safe!) Sounds like you guys are going great. I am not chartreuse with jealousy. I promise!!!
I am trying to keep my head above water. We have to replace some tile in our hallway but we have a very helpful handy person (trans woman, in fact!) and she is an angel helping us with decisions. Christopher has had another interview (not likely) but is putting in for a few more jobs. Sadly, they are out of state and considering how much hostility remote work is receiving, I’m worried.
We’ll burn that bridge when we get to it.
You’ve built such a great community around you in SP. Pulling hard for Christopher to find something he likes and that works with that. (Also, you’d be a huge loss to Wisconsin.)
Good news, Dana. Extra time is a very good thing!
I have a very low threshold for quality when it comes to movies like Day After Tomorrow. I love them fairly unconditionally. I don't know why.
Yeah, I am with you there.
Continuing to send the job~ma for Christopher.
Brenda, you know I’m all Col. Kurtz hunched in an ice fishing shack snacking on cheese curds and Spotted Cow bitching about the Packers’ wild card loss.
What a relief, Susan!
We were not able to get Robin & Oliver a passport in time. They have new ss cards and drivers licenses. But we haven’t been able to get new birth certificates.
We opted for the Buffet breakfast this morning instead of room service, and it was a fascinating mix of Western and Asian options. Also, I get a daily newspaper in English and I have to say I have really enjoyed having a physical newspaper to read over breakfast.
The Buffet also reminded me of the great innovation that is Asian Banquet Eggs. (They mix baking soda into their scrambled eggs so they neither dry out nor get wet, but simply stay fluffy).
Matilda has started her new ESim code and is diligently awaiting the QR code. This is all so hinky it's giving me flashbacks to the mysterious and aggravating issue we all had in offices with Printer Drivers.
It really ought to be easier and more seamless, but then again I spent 18 months locked out of my AT&T account.
Matilda is eager to get her nails done in Tokyo and Jilli has given me a Side Quest so...off we go.
Glad to hear the Japan Adventure is continuing apace.
I'm not as sick as I was, but definitely improved. But as head colds usually go with me, the ick has moved towards the throat and lungs, so I'm now on cough medicine.
At least I can sit up and watch TV, so I watched FOUR movies yesterday, including both all-star versions of Death On The Nile.
Well, the EPA sent out an email (after close of business on a Friday?!) that all remote work agreements are rescinded and employees are expected back in the office (what office? Mr. Flea hasn’t been in one for almost 5 years) on February 24. We’ll see what the next steps are…
I wish I was roaming around Tokyo, even if my esim card wasn’t working.
