I’ve transferred my books and reading info from Goodreads to Storygraph who else is over there? I get a lot of recs from seeing what others read.

Always Anti-fascist!

Karl! I don't know why I'm just seeing you now, babe, but better late than never.

Our wings are not tired.

Is there a reason for leaving Goodreads, msbelle? I have so much in there.

Goodreads is owned by Amazon.

There is an export and import option moving your library/shelves, read history, ratings and reviews.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm on LibraryThing because I started there before Goodreads became ubiquitous, and I like it both for the community and as a good place to track my reading and get recommendations.

Ah, I looked and I already have a Story Graph login because son's gf lists there. I'll investigate. Who knows, I might have a LibraryThing login too!

Export/Import was easy enough.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Side note: my friend used to work in Mergers and Acquisitions for Amazon and was responsible for them buying both Goodreads and Comixology.

But she hated working at Amazon and left many years ago.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Nothing~ma for you, msbelle.

Mr. S was at the house yesterday for the afternoon. Went pretty well. There's talk of an overnight visit next weekend.(One night only)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Glad to hear it Sheryl.

I’d like to get back into reading more and tracking/discussing so I’m happy to look at some new platforms. I never really dug in on Goodreads so maybe this will spark.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Huh.

LibraryThing is majority owned by founder Tim Spalding.[12] Online bookseller AbeBooks bought a 40% share in LibraryThing in May 2006 for an undisclosed sum. AbeBooks became a subsidiary of Amazon in 2008.[13] In January 2009, Cambridge Information Group acquired a minority stake in LibraryThing, and their subsidiary Bowker became the official distributor to libraries.[12]

I'd still rather go back to LibraryThing than start over on a new platform. Looks like I was still adding things there in 2021.
