Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

Just ordered a new belt and tensioner for my wife's car (preventative maintenance) and it was $120 which seems like a lot for some pretty basic parts. Still a lot less than getting it done at a shop or dealer though I suppose.

Going to have to take it to a dealer before too long though to change the CVT fluid. That job is beyond my abilities and I feel like I should go to a dealer to give the best chance that it's done right with no contamination. Been a long time since I've taken that car to a mechanic.

Geez, David, that sucks! What a pain.

Gud, I'm impressed. I can add oil, and I can change wiper fluid, and I'm pretty sure I can change a tire (though I'd likely call roadside assistance anyway), but that's about it for my car maintenance capabilities.

Oh!

And Happy Birthday, Vortex!

I've done oil changes, belt replacement, starter, power steering pump, battery, brake pads (disc only, not drums), blower motor, spark plugs, ignition coils, oxygen sensor, rear shocks, and installed a couple tow hitches. Shade tree mechanic sort of stuff.

Happy birthday, Vortex! Looking forward to seeing you!

Productive! Be nice to yourself today!

EM is here. Matilda has been dragged groggily out of bed. Emmett is on the way. I have to run around and do shit all day.

So many tiny tasks!

Our wings are not tired.

Going to have to take it to a dealer before too long though to change the CVT fluid.

You should have them do some of the other items and take them off your list!

The most complex car repair I've done was replace a radiator with my sister. Mechanically it wasn't hard, but that thing was heavy!! Changed a headlamp in my jetta which was a super pain involving removing way too many things to get to it. Annoying. I no longer do anything else other than add wiper fluid. (love my Tesla and its lack of engine)

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Happy birthday Vortex!
