We ordered Mexican for dinner and I had posoles and the best guacamole I've ever had in my life. I am ruined for all other guacamole.
It's almost 9 pm, and I'll be lucky if I make it to midnight.

Mom made borscht for dinner, but not the same recipe she used to make so it is not full of potatoes and carrots and beef, and it called for fresh dill but she used dried, so she wanted to warn me in case it is bland so we can consider it a palate cleanser if necessary. Smells good, I think it will be fine.

Hey, I managed to stay awake until midnight! Now I can go to bed. Or at least, I can go to bed after our neighbor stops blowing up his entire roadside stand's worth of fireworks. I think he's been hoarding fireworks for the past 10 years just for this moment.
