On the news front, my nickel bet is on Mangione going for an insanity plea. As a white dude with family of means, legal representation isn't going to be an issue. Apparently, he was living with significant back pain and had back surgery, which can lead to insanity. Murder is not cool, but unlike cases where there seems to be no understanding of cause, this one is pretty clear.

On the home front, I am almost finished with my tree. Brendon has basketball about 20 hours a day at this time of year, so it has been a one person task. Into my second week of decorating! Granted I don't devote a lot of time to it per day. Also on the home front, DH has finally joined me in keto which makes it a lot easier for me.

I am hoping it turns into an interesting court case but I'm not certain it will. Conspiracy theories are definitely on the table. It's just so easy to come up with plausible ones.

I got some Thai soup for lunch becuase I have some congestion, and I noticed that it has cute little red peppers that I assumed would kill me if I ate them and minutes after thinking that I accidentally crunched down on one. Not dead yet, but it's pretty dang hot.
