Excellent. I hope the next 7 weeks are a flurry of Biden flexing his executive office muscles.
With his new found immunity from prosecution there is a long list of people that should have their citizenship revoked for national security purposes. So much that could have been done if we played by different rules.
Looks yum, Truday, but I did finish mine yesterday.
I doubt that siccing black ops teams on Putin and Musk for assassination is in the cards, but I like the idea of both of them sleeping less soundly. (If Musk sleeps.)
Of course all the news is "He said he wouldn't!" Pfffftttt. With the nomination of Kash Patel, Joe had no choice. So fuck them.
Oliver is back at school and Robin heads back tomorrow. I should be returning to work next week (if my physical therapist agrees).
I hope Biden hands out preemptive pardons like snack-size candy on Halloween, frankly. Winter is coming.
Definitely...
Would like to see bold action on a lot of fronts, really.(But if Biden really was that guy, I wouldn't have felt like we're generally on different sides.)
Why are people still treating dems like they should stick to “norms,” when all bets are off with creeping fascism?
He could commute federal death sentences, free people in prison for cannabis and I would be happy.
I agree. The Supreme Court has explicitly said that norms don’t mean squat for the president, so go to town, Joe.
Dreams for the next month
- mass commutations from prison for cannibas arrests, elderly prisoners, sick prisoners, a significant # working with the innocence project and similar, prisoners arrested when teens who have been model prisoners.
- anything that can be done at the federal level to hurt for profit prisons, and for profit communication systems in prisons.
- anything that can be done to get infrastructure funds distributed where they cannot be revoked or cut.
What else can be done by executive order?
Anything with DACA? Anything with extending protected status to certain refugees? Anything with expanding Medicare and Medicaid?
Yes! I've gone down one size on top -- shirts that haven't fit me in a few years fit fine now! (I just wish my hips would catch up now.)
