Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Dang, our dinner is at 6, with apps at 4.

Our wings are not tired.

We just had the pumpkin ravioli and the butternut squash soup, and I’m already full.

Yum, two of my favorites.

I ditched the sprouts and did sauteed spinach instead. Gave me the green without the need for the oven for a half hour. We have consumed the main event now and will wait for room to be available for pie.

The weather is absolutely perfect, so we ate outside.  My NY family has a pretty coating of snow, which is super pretty, but not good for outdoor eating. They have a winter storm warning with a lot mor snow to follow. Here it is 82 and sunny.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

OMG, so full and quite tipsy.

We ended up eating at 3p, so we're just finishing up and cleaning the kitchen, etc. Really good this year -- possibly peak Thanksgiving food for this group. And I didn't even pig way out. I pigged medium out, so Icould still eat a slice of cranberry tart right now, but I'll wait a while.

One of the (taller) dogs got to the last half of the corn casserole thing, ha! I mean, he got maybe a bite, but there's no telling where he licked and sniffed, so... yeah. His little brother (a Westie) totally ratted him out.

Now tagless for your comfort.

DH’s ham with raisin sauce was divine. My sugar cream pie, quite rich and satisfying.

If anyone is interested, my library has free tai chi class videos on Youtube here

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Nice, Cash!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Dinner with my in-law’s extended family went well. Their house was nice, large, and well set for entertaining. I’m glad I upped my usual price point for the wine I brought. Everyone was nice and welcoming to my white, cis, apparently straight self, and I was forewarned to Not Talk Politics. My immediate family have drifted leftward, but the extended in-laws have apparently not. The teenage kids in the house are artsy and tattooed, so I’ll leave it to them to talk their parents around. The food was amazing. Thanksgiving classics flawlessly executed. If I’d known them slightly better I would have run off with the smoked turkey like an ill-trained dog.

On the way home I got a message that my worldly goods would be arriving this morning—a full day before the earliest possible delivery time they’d quoted me. One less night on an air mattress! So now I’m listening to the cats demand their lawyers from the bathroom jail while I wait on the movers.
