I learned that being on a blood thinner gets you whisked into trauma right away.
I take low-dose aspirin every day, but no actual anticoagulants like Plavix.
I think my sideboob protected my ribs from the worst of the impact (cast-iron tub, yowch). My boobs are my superpower. I will for sure have bruises from this.
You'd got to the ER if you had potential breakage, I hope, yes?
Definitely -- I really don't think it's a break, just a bruise. It's sore, but not sharp pain.
My dignity has been fatally wounded, though. (In our group text, my college roommates assured me that I never had any dignity to begin with. This is the danger of being friends with people for 35 years.)
I slipped and fell
Ouch! Don't do that.
Remember the wise words of Batty Koda: "Oh! Gravity works!"
And the wise words of The Tick: "Gravity is a harsh mistress."
Yikes, Teppy. Take care of yourself.

Ha, ha, ha. Yes. Yes, it is.
Yikes, Steph! I hate when that happens! I've also had two falls in the last couple of months. Definitely no fun. My right knee seems to be where I concentrate my landings and it's still a little sore even though I'm recovered from the rest of the bumps and bruises. Hope ice & ibuprofen have you feeling better ASAP.
Like, I’m so tired and/or bored I can’t even bring myself to make a list, let alone do any of the things. Or anyway that’s my new entirely made up etymology.
Head cannon accepted.
Glad to see you, Epic!
Tep, are your electrolytes good? Because I was that falling person. I'm still unsteady sometimes but it's useful to know. I understand the embarrassment but we're on your side here. Feel better!
Tep, are your electrolytes good?
...that's a good question. When I came home from Colorado in September with the flu, I got really dehydrated but bought electrolyte replacement to add to water (Drip Drop Hydration was the winner). I assumed my electrolytes have been okay since then, but maybe not.
