Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

Not javachik

If I didn’t say already, yay smonster!

I vaguely saw the northern lights last night out my bedroom window (in a “is that it or a vaguely green cloud?” way). Annoyingly I went to bed on time because I had a 9am appointment and then I got there and found out I had somehow not finished booking it, so I did not, in fact, have an appointment. Argh. Am now at an Art Book Fair, which is not my jam (zines and alternative presses and such) but my friend and her husband who are staying with me are here (he’s an exhibitor). Debating where I could/should go late tonight to see the lights

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Another friend of mine in Seattle said the viewing at Snoqualmie Point Park was good and didn’t get crowded until 11 or so, meara

Our wings are not tired.

I've seen a bunch of great pictures. So many areas that don't normally see the lights. My son said it was cloudy so he missed out.

Today's air show a delight, but it is super hot outside. Tomorrow a bunch of family and friends coming to watch the noisy planes. I'm looking forward to hosting.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Are y’all talking about UK Ghosts or the American version? I watched a season or two of UK but haven’t checked out the remake.

Hoping for a fresh start for any Buffista who wants it, and especially you, Erika.

My brother took some excellent pictures last night in Seattle, he was on Sunset Hill.

Looking forward to Localista Smonster!

I have been living a sad, localista-less life for far too long. So happy.

Paid a deposit and signed a document today, so housing has been sorted! I will be a very short drive or a pleasant bike ride from Calli and Buffista-adjacent A.

Coming in late - the job’s in NC right? Whoo-hoo!

Punishingly Intricate

We love both the UK and the US Ghosts! And enjoyed the Ghosts callout on an epic Dead Boy Detective Agency

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Congrats, smonster!!!

I haven't managed to see the lights. Friday night clouds rolled in before I got out of the theatre. Last night I walked over to the lakefront and hung out for a while but I didn't want to stay too late since I'd be walking back home alone. Apparently the sky activity started about 30 minutes after I left.

I think I like the US ghosts better than the UK one. The storytelling seems more focused.

Yeah apparently Friday was the night to see it. I tried driving about 30 miles out of town with a friend and we set up chairs in a park and sat there for about two hours before giving up around midnight. We saw many stars and some satellites but no aurora. Boo.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

We drove out last night to a park with less light pollution and a better north-facing view but yeah, too much cloud cover to see anything.
