I've never eaten a Muffaletta. Wasn't a thing when I was a kid in central NY, then most of my adult life I didn't eat meat. I would happily down an olive and cheese sandwich though.
Natter 78: I might need to watch some Buffy for inspiration

I am finally feeling better after two weeks of being sick, and now TCG is sick. ltc was sick approximately two weeks before I was. It would have been much easier if we had all just been sick and miserable at the same time so we didn’t lose out on all of our fun Autumn plans.
Health~ma to the teacup family. I'm sorry it has been a tough few weeks.
Thanks. ltc is really disappointed that we won’t be going to the Horror book festival tomorrow. It’s usually the highlight of spooky season for us.
Aw, that stinks, sj. Hope he feels better soon and that you all sail through the rest of the season ick free.
And while the $98 seems high, $15 for 1/8 seems reasonable to me, (although while eating 1/8 of a muffaletta does make sense I somehow feel like selling less than a quarter is not right) so I don't even know
For comparison, I could get *5* 12" pizzas with mushrooms, olives, and extra cheese for the same price as one of these ridiculous sandwiches. ($15 for a lunch-sized portion of food is, sadly, a very normal price in SF or NYC, but that doesn't make it RIGHT.)
Well, now I'm wondering if my local pizza prices are high
My actual lunch today is turkey and havarti on whole wheat for approximately $3 if I remember my grocery run correctly
And sorry for the sickness rolling through your household, sj. Not getting to do stuff sucks, and being sick sucks
I’m sneezing today, which is a new symptom that I’m hoping is just allergies. If Francesca and I are fever free tomorrow I’m going to take her out consignment/antique shopping. Fully masked of course.
There's a three-alarm fire just off of I-580 about two and a half miles due north of our apartment: [link] has details.
