"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We're safely tucked into our hotel in Pasadena.

The lobby has a Foosball table! Woot!

Matilda and I are about to go out to dinner.

College tours tomorrow.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I am so sick. I really think I’ll need to see the doctor tomorrow. For now I’m hoping 12 hours of sleep in my own bed will help somewhat.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Feel better, Steph!

Several of my students were clearly sick in class today, and one of my colleagues was out for the past week with Covid.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Health~ma, Steph (and Hil). Safe travels Hec. Arm~ma to just about everyone else, looks like. I’m glad we’re all getting vaxxed. Glad your Tuesday was better, msbelle—mine was, too.

My employer has been pretty good about remote work. I think it’s because physical office space is at a premium there. They have more people working for them than they can seat. And while they’ve bought up a lot of property in town to try and alleviate that, it’s still a very hot market here, so they can make more money renting it out rather than have us working in it. All of which leads to me working barefoot, with a cat on my lap, 95% of the time.

Happy Birthday, erika!

I slept a lot, but I'm still really sick. Going to a Kroger Little Clinic in a couple of hours.

Hope they're able to help, Steph.

Happy Birthday, Erika!

Even if this is a virus that antibiotics won't help, I just want something to make my throat stop hurting so much.
