A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I watched Jon Stewart's debate recap, and that's all I needed to see. The look on Harris’s face when Trump was talking about immigrants eating cats was the exact same look I have when my dad starts talking about the hallucination people in his apartment.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh! I haven't watched that yet.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I got the impression that Harris whacked Trump all over the debate stage like Serena Williams smashing a tennis ball at Wimbledon

It was some good shit. She mocked the size of his rallies and said people left early because they were bored! She called him weak! She said he was fired by 81 million people!

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

No matter what vile shit Trump says, his base thinks he's the messiah.

Ugh, too true and too upsetting. The unhinged overconfidence is a PLUS for his followers, no matter what actual words come out of it.

I think Kamala finished stronger than she started, and by the end he was an incoherent rambling mess while she was looking cool and confident. Turnout is going to be the key to a win, as always. That there are more left-leaning adults of voting age in almost all states isn't in question, it's how many of them will show up.

My heart goes out to the moderators, who valiantly did their best. "Would you like to respond to...the rest of that?"

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I'm hoping that the newly registered voters (most are young) and the endorsement of Taylor Swift (and her cat) will increase turnoug.

Also, I came across this comment: one cannot think the name “JD Vance” without picturing a shuddering and exhausted davenport .... which was followed by someone commenting he treats women like furniture.

Thrive to spite them

I've read some articles about the debate. I didn't watch it.

Fox News had an opinion piece tried to spin it as the moderators were totally unfair to Trump. It has this paragraph "Rather than patiently and systematically challenging Harris with evidence that his administration had helped the middle class more than hers, Trump reverted to form, claiming once again that he actually won the 2020 election. "

When has Trump ever patiently or systematically challenged anyone with evidence?

Taylor Swift has officially endorsed Harris. And Trump seems to think that will hurt her in the marketplace.

M's mom said she thought that Harris and Trump did the same in the debate. But she didn't watch all of it. I brought the outrageous lies and she couldn't believe he said that...or well she could but was like "he said that?" It was pointed out to me that a lot of people around here will vote for Trump and I said I knew SC would go from Trump ..

Interestingly in Brevard I didn't see as many political yard signs as I've seen in the past. I only saw a handful of Presidential ones and only one of those was Trump.

I think the last thing I saw from Nate Silver was Trump winning the Electoral College by a landside and Harris winning the popular vote by a small amount. That worries me.

Always Anti-fascist!

My crush on Jon Stewart's back on. Also, loved Desi Lydic's bit the other day that was like "What if one crazy lady wrote all the frantic campaign e-mails?"

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yay chair.

And Trump seems to think that will hurt her in the marketplace.
I'm sure she's very worried about her financial future.
