Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Foster failing is the best. Fostering is the best of all worlds. You get to clearly define what your are willing to accept, then time to connect and see if you like each other without the pressure of lifetime commitment. Most of the time, as soon as you start getting tired or overwhelmed or realizing that maybe your quest room isn’t the best place for the animal, it’s time for them to go live somewhere else! Unless you happen to fall in love, then you get to keep them. I often have wished dating could work similarly.

Hahah Erin I feel like that is an interesting plan for dating…

Dragged myself to the soccer game tonight, knowing that I didn’t want to go but would have a good time once there. And indeed, I did have a good time once there, and even though we thought the team would get creamed, they managed a tie. Which is not too bad, seeing as how they lost 5 of the last 6 games.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

All those (probably industry funded) claims about coffee health benefits? I totally believe them. Likewise cheese. Especially now that I’m ketoing those are two dietary staples, along with leafy green veg. I’m more of a Swiss chard person than a kale person though. More for y’all.

I am sorry to hear about more aging parent issues. It can be hard to flip the care script.

Punishingly Intricate

One of my fave things to do with cabbage is chop it up and put a chicken on top of it and roast ‘em. Yum!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I once made shredded cabbage cooked with sour cream and beef broth (if I remember correctly) and it was quite tasty.

On the food front, made chicken quesadillas last night that turned out really well. My wife doesn't like cumin so most fajita seasoning doesn't work. I ended up going with this...

2 tbsp oil 3 tbsp lime juice 1 1/2 tsp seasoned salt 1 1/2 tsp oregano 2 tsp garlic powder 2 tsp onion powder 1 tsp hot chili powder 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper 1 tsp paprika

All of that gets mixed in a bowl. Dice up about 1.5 - 2 lbs of chicken mixed it up and then sauteed it in butter in an iron skillet. Then put it in some tortillas with monterey jack cheese and air fry it.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

All those (probably industry funded) claims about coffee health benefits? I totally believe them.

Heh, my cynical POV about "coffee is good for you no really any amount all the coffee all the time" studies is that all those sleep-deprived doctors and med school students DESPERATELY need it to be true.

Our wings are not tired.

Sounds yummy, Gud.

I don't have a go to healthy food. Mostly I try and focus on just having real food and not prepared fare with a bunch of mystery ingredients and over processing.

I’m now on day 3 of v sore throat—but like swollen tonsils sore, not scratchy throat sore, if that makes sense? Do not like. May need to go get some frozen dessert later or something. Tea is not cutting it.
