I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My dad legally added a middle name when he was 18, I know he had been using it informally before that but I don't know if it was on any official paperwork. Probably was. He had been working, so social security is likely. And I think I've mentioned before that my mom filed their joint tax returns using her married name for years (maybe decades) before someone noticed that it didn't match her social security records which she had never changed from her maiden name. She was so tickled to have an alias.

All, if you're not watching the live roll call of states at the DNC, it's a PARTY! I'm loving all the women of color acting as spokespeople, too.

Yes! It was such a celebration. Excited to see the Obamas speak later.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I watched as late as I could. Sadly, I couldn’t stay up for Obama, but I’m sure it’ll be posted somewhere.

I know where my birth certificate is because I needed it to get “real ID” the last time my drivers license expired. So now it’s in a plastic bag, along with my passport and social security card, in my important papers space, along with euros and Canadian money from my travels. It’s not quite a to-go bag, but if a tornado was heading my way it would be easy enough to grab and stuff in my bra as I headed for the one windowless room in the apartment.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I know where my official notarized copy of my birth certificate is and my original Social Security card. Embarrassingly, I've never had a passport.

Watched as much of the DNC as I could last night, but didn't make it to the Obamas. I did, this morning, watch the video of Tammy Duckworth's speech. I love that there's so much positive energy in the convention - I watched part of the roll call and it reminded me of past conventions (when it would go on for a LONG time).

I've never had a passport either. Just been to Canada and Mexico.

I do know my birth certificate is in the safe. Documents always seem more important when they are in a safe.

Our wings are not tired.

I have all my paperwork including my passport. I've had FIVE last names, so getting my real id in Florida took a lot of paperwork.

I didn't watch the convention live as we were driving to Maine and then went out to dinner. The outtakes I have seen today have been awesome.

Also, no moose sightings yet despite all the signs that claim they may be crossing.
