No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

Thrive to spite them

Does everybody know where their birth certificate is? And their passport? And all their other certifications? (Marriage license, death certificate, deed to your house?).

Of course you do. Because you've mastered the concept of files.

falls over laughing at the idea of files...

I actually think I know where my birth certificate is and my very expired passport. Maybe.

My aunt J and her ....partner ? paramour--we need a term for someone's romantic partner they aren't married to for adults so you aren't 70 talkign about your boyfriend who is 80...anyway. His name is Jack and they are going to the UK for 2 weeks on the 8th. I'm really excited for them and Aunt J asked me what I liked way back when I went and I told her but they are doing things differently. First it's not a coach tour that they are doing and so they can make their own plans and 2 they are going to spend time down in the Jurrasic area where they can hunt fossils and spend more time in Scotland.

And life at home was going fine, M's cousin wasn't spending so much time here but he's been here since Friday, when according to M's mom he was only staying the night. On Sat M and I had sushi and we also toyed with the idea of going out to eat again for dinner as a splurgy day but I was like "I'll bring home steaks!" so I did, for 3 people. M is going to grill those for dinner. But M's mom realizes this today and says "there are only 3 steaks ? What about Cousin?" and said I should get another for him. which no, I told her I had no idea he was going to be here this long and if she wanted to share her dinner that was fine but I'm not going out and buying more steak.

Then at work we had the partial power failure (but didn't lose really any product). And the former store manager came in for some reason...not to shop I don't know why. By all accounts she was rude to everyone and yelled at team lead for something.

The store remodel continues, they started on the restrooms and we have Executive Portable Toilets, which aren't bad. Except the a/c wasn't working so it was blowing hot air and feeling like an oven. The company that owns them was made aware of the issue, we are supposed to have that for 2 weeks. We had complaints and I even had one lady complain and ask why they couldn't have kept part of the womens' restroom open while they remodeled. I didn't even try to answer that.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

it doesn't work any more! I have to get a new one!

What? Do birth certificates expire?

I'm not going to talk about my mastery of files and knowing where important stuff is because it a sad state of affairs that I'm not going to try to fix any time soon. Kicking that can down the road has been working out okay for a while and I'm going to keep doing it a while longer. You may all feel superior to me if that helps anyone!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

we need a term

I have long used Significant Other, abbreviated S.O.

It is vague enough to cover a wide variety of relationships.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Have you tried turning it off and turning it on again? Jumper cables? AED?

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

It seems that New Jersey stopped accepting birth certificates unless it included the parents' names, which mine doesn't.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

DH's vocally anti-marriage aunt always said "partner" (even after they eventually got secretly married for the tax/health insurance/etc benefits).

So the jumper cables didn't work?

Oh, so you need the infamous long form birth certificate? What a strange thing to change

They could have used another term and lost nothing from the message. I felt gross every time it was said. That said, I loved last night so much.

Same. (The Texas rep.'s speech included something similar -- but her story about Harris and the photo op was awesome.)

DH's vocally anti-marriage aunt

I read that as anti-mirangue and was SO intrigued!

Always Anti-fascist!

Last time I needed one, we noticed my mother never signed it(Too busy almost dying and all.) I used it for 40 years without anyone noticing.
