Very convincing. Makes me completely want to put myself under government control. Please take me to where you can make me unconscious and naked.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Happy birthday, Debet!

RIP Greg Kihn - a friend of mine who is a sound engineer worked with him a few times & said we was great to work with.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Happy Birthday, Debet!

I think I'm having a migraine aura for the first time. Everything is sparkling. This is trippy and weird.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Thanks, everyone. DH got me an embroidered towel, as it's my 42nd. Ive been basically solo parenting since Sunday as he has COVID (still testing positive this morning). And Gumball started Kindergarten this week, so he's more than a bit of a mess. And I think the baby is teething again.

I continue to test negative, and, as I told DH, as long as we don't end up in the ER, it's unlikely to be my worst birthday.

Our wings are not tired.

Way too much adulting for a birthday! Awesome present though!

Oh, ocular migraines! I used to get those when I was on the computer too much. Eye doctor said it was my body's way of telling me I needed a break.

Yikes Debet, that sounds hectic! I hope you get a bit of belated birthday soon!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

DH got me an embroidered towel, as it's my 42nd.

Awww. I hope the rest of the day is mostly harmless.

Thrive to spite them

Around 4:40 at work we noticed that multiple coolers were down--where all the bacon/lunch meat/cheese; the milk/creamer; half and half and cream cheese and soft cheese; eggs; and fresh meat. Also the meat and dairy coolers for backstock. All down. So it was a race to get them covered, but it was just me and my team lead until one of the front end guys wandered by and offered to help. As we were blocking off the meat and trying to keep the cool air in people were coming up and trying to shop around us and kind of argue about things... we explained there was a power outage and we were trying to trap the cool air and they couldn't buy anything. Caution tape was used to tie /secure the doors to the milk cooler and when the front end guy and I were trying to get the really long cheese/lunch meat cooler blocked off people kept trying to buy stuff. Even after it was all covered in plastic I caught woman ripping the tape loose where we had taped 2 sections together to get something out---that was in the section that still had power but I had to tell her that because it was blocked off she couldn't buy it. She seemed surprised that it was blocked for a reason and not just like that.

Most people were nice but some got an attitude. And one guy kept circling around like an aimless shark for ... I dunno how long seemed like forever, maybe 20 mins. I finally told him that we didn't have a technician on site and even if they were to get here and fix it immediately we'd still have to check the temperatures on everything to see if it was safe and I had no idea if it was able to stay at a safe temp. At some point he stopped his circling and left.

When I left at 6 they were still waiting on someone to come repair it and I'm not sure we were able to keep things below 40F, just because we weren't sure how long it had been out and it did take some time to get things covered.

Thankfully I'm off tomorrow so I don't have to deal with that. It will be bad if the dairy cooler didn't stay cool, everything will have to be thrown out and while we were trying to get the eggs and meat covered people kept coming up and opening the doors and then just staring. No one seemed to notice the lights were out.

Several weeks ago they had to reject a milk shipment because it was too warm and it took us about a week to finally get stocked back up in milk. I'm not sure what is going to happen if we have to lose
