Yep. THIS IS HOW I LEARNED IT IN SPORTING EVENTS, NBC. TWO MINUTES FLAT IS NOT TWO AND A QUARTER MINUTES.
I, umm, might have learned it from horse racing. Go fig.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

IT IS LITERALLY WHAT FLAT MEANS.
Ahem.
I really try to support taxis over Lyft and Uber, but damn if they don’t make it hard.
Timelies all!
We had to put our cat, Luna, to sleep last night. She was 17, and had a lot of medical problems, but it’s still hard for all of us. We were all with her until the end.
I'm so sorry, Sheryl.
So hard, Sheryl. I am sorry.
Tim Walz's hot dish recipe. It's topped with tater tots.
My Minnesotan SIL says that this is not hot dish because the ingredients do not contain a cream soup. She describes it as "fancied up"
I’m sorry, Sheryl.
I’m so sorry for your loss, Cheryl

That is a valid point. It was for a contest, though, right? Maybe that's why.
I went googling to find the recipe again because I can't open Toddson's link at work (adblocker) and this story includes a different and more traditional sounding recipe (the "New Ulm" that I guess was tweeted at some point) [link]

Productive day so far.
Landis the Contractor sent a crew of two to go through my punchlist.
They've already cleaned out the clogged bathroom sink. ("We pulled a horsetail's worth of hair out of there."), removed a faulty light fixture, and bolted a CD case to the wall.
They're getting a new plumbing trap assembly for the sink, and when they come back they'll finish that then bring some stuff down out of the attic that I need to get rid of.
And also I just talked to a rep at the Semester Abroad program in Kyoto. She walked me through the application process, what they need, and gave me the lowdown on how the program is structured. All positive. I think it's going to be great for Matilda.
So two very important things on my to-do list which have been rolling over for several weeks have been addressed.
