Well, then, this is a day I'll feel good to be me.

Our wings are not tired.

Whoever designed these mortal bodies should have been fired and replaced with a competent engineer.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Ugh Steph, knees really are the worst when they don't knee properly.

Is an ER visit getting serious consideration?

If it seems worse tomorrow, then yes. But I figure I can do rest, ice, compression, elevation, and ibuprofen at home for the first 24 hours and see if that calms it down.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry your knee isn't kneeing properly, Steph.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've reached the life stage where one or the other knee decides its not happy, without much in the way of doing anything that should have excited it. I fear the day when one of them will just stay like that....

Oh, man, Steph! That really stinks. I hope the ice and elevation and i uprofen help a TON and it feels better tomorrow.

I'm just super happy it happened at home, on the 4 steps leading to the front porch, instead of last week at the beach, where all the houses are on stilts and therefore have a minimum of 1 flight of stairs just to get into a place (our AirBnB had 2 flights from the driveway to the front door -- one day I said in exasperation "Next year, I will definitely start training my quads a month before vacation!"), because hurting my knee there would have sucked.

One more dose of ibuprofen before bed, and hopefully it'll hurt less tomorrow.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

~ma Steph! knees are bullshit!

and so are slow healing ankles. any where on the bipedal system is painful and fragile. poorly designed indeed!

in other news...while I;m waiting to do another CAT on my ankle to see i f my bone simulator has improved the ankle, I now have a toothache. one of my older crowns. but as things are right now it with the ankle and all of the difficulties just getting down to the parking lot of my building, it would be a lot of bother to get there. So, I'm trying to wait until I have permission to put weight on this thing. It's been 6.5 months and I am very very tired of it.

quester, that is so frustrating! I hope it turns out that the bone stimulator helped your ankle.

Knee update: not 100% better today, but at least 50% better. Maybe even 75% better. I'll keep throwing ibuprofen at it and keeping it elevated today.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Ugh, Tep!

Take this with a grain of salt because I am definitely projecting, but consider going to the ER if only to get an MRI to rule out ACL tear. I had to wait four months for surgery because I just went to urgent care, and they only had Xray. It took another months before my PCP was finally able to get my MRI referral through, and that put my surgery off for months.

You probably just have something benign, but an MRI would tell you for sure. Signed, Overly Cautious Because Reasons.
