I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have been up and about and working and so forth for hours today and I would love to go back to lying around in bed as soon as possible

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I basically always feel better about life if I get up and out the door early

NO. The nocturnal/delayed sleep phase disorder side of the house says NO.

(Guess who now has a migraine from getting up way too early?)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Groundhogs are pretty good in a scrap, they just look waddly and slow. And most cats are smart enough to leave alone anything that weighs as much as them, at least as prey.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

At least one groundhog, but probably more, lives under the porch of the house across the street. One day when I was backing in to our driveway, I noticed this little face watching me park, with the most judgmental expression you can imagine. I feel like if that groundhog could have asked to see the manager about my parking job, it would have.

Don't park angry, Tep

Too obscure a reference? Feels obscure

It is time for me to go home! Hurkle-durkling in my future!

Have I mentioned that work has decided we (salaried employees) need to be in the office 9 hours a day? Half hour for lunch and a half an hour sprinkled throughout the day getting coffee or what not assumed. I am extremely irritated about it and trying not complain to everyone too much but I don't think I've actually mentioned it here.

Thrive to spite them

There is a groundhog that wanders around in our backyard occasionally. The cats seem to ignore it.

Speaking of cats Mom's cat Lovey is blind. He had to have the one eye removed because it was injured and got infected and got really gross looking. But he has glaucoma in his remaining eye and is blind. Mom had notice him having issues with his vision and finally (at my urging) took him to the vet. She has drops to help relieve the pressure but if those don't help he'll have to lose his eye. This is completely unrelated to what happened to his other eye. He is still a happy loving cat , he just can't see anything.

I think it's too obscure for me. Or if I ever knew it, my swiss cheese brain has no longer retained it.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Does everyone have a groundhog this year? Was there a sale or something?

(We have two groundhogs living in a hole near the back of our yard. From the sizes I think it's a mother and juvenile. We call them The Fat-asses, or Fatso (affectionate) for short.)

No groundhogs here. I am resigned to missing out.

Used to quote “don’t drive angry” from Groundhog Day a lot. Not sure why, it’s not like it was appropriate to try the context usually. Getting judged by a groundhog while you park is possibly the most appropriate trigger for it!

Eta by “here” I mean in my immediate vicinity. There may be some farther afield.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

We’ve had a groundhog, or a series of them, on the apartment complex grounds. One year a neighbor had big pots of basil in front of his place, and I came home to see the groundhog just stuffing his face with the basil leaves. The man had plenty to spare, so I left the beastie to it.
