On the flipside, I'm appreciative that your boss is taking such an active interest in your personal well being. It may be too much, but it's a sign of her appreciation and affection for you.
I know and I am grateful and I did let her know that it might be necessary once I begin more aggressive treatment. I am in a grace period right now until my followup, and I am feeling good, so I want to not wear people out when I don't need to. She is out of town, so she can't come see me, but other boss lady was more like that until she visited and saw how well I was! I also think that Maria and my family would not be appreciative right now of being placed on a rota for help! I think Maria in particular would head explode. She is doing the job of getting stuff out of my apartment so I can just call someone and pay them money to discard just about everything, and that is not something I am comfortable sharing with all of work. I also need to keep my uncle and aunt busy helping, because they are not so much as comfortable for the visiting. So things like groceries and cleaning tand picking up packages are good for them. I don't want to share the state of my apartment with them either, so it is just Maria and another friend Rebekah who are dealing with that, and that is a lot.
So, we primed the pump- Sue has a list of my friends, she is reaching out saying I am doing well and am in need of Zoom or in person visits as well as any non urgent weirdnessess that I can puzzle through to keep me busy. I reached out to my closer friends at work (my two closest are actually also out or soon to be out for surgery themselves, so all the 50 something women are going to be MIA for November, and they are also wondering how they will function without us) and let them know, and also let them know I want to visit on Zoom or in person because right now, I am bored out of my skull. I am texting a bunch with the other laid-up ladies- one with a bowel surgery and the other with a hysterectomy. I am very grateful for this, it just seems early when they want me sort of up and about! Again, I don't want to wear people out when it is likely that a couple of months from now, I will need a rota.
I should extend the invitation here- if anyone wants to do a Zoom lunch/snack/break, I am open and can still set it up through work! I am wide open for the next week and, as I said, bored out of my skull. I don't even have the nurses and the student nurses (my favorite) to chat to right now so it is like lockdown 2.0.

I'd like to have a Zoom call with you this week! You can ping me on FB messages.
Sophia, we could probably talk some afternoon. Usually, they can be a bit slow.
Not sure when the window thing happens but I have foil over it right now to keep the entire sun out.
Timelies all!
Got my Covid booster today. So far, I just have a sore arm. Hoping that'll be it for side effects.
In other news, Mr.S has been accepted to a residential school.(Think therapeutic boarding school) It's in NH, but Montgomery County Public schools recommended it, so it fits his IEP. Mr S is not happy about it, as he really wanted to go home, but this is the best thing for him. Lots of paperwork to take care of, and we don't have a definite starting date, but there is a plan for after the etc.
Glad that you have a plan for Mr. S. If you need a way station on the drive up, happy to host you in CT.
Sheryl, I hope the school is a good fit for
Mr S.
Sophia, I’d be happy to do a zoom call with you whenever you need some company. I just caught up on a couple weeks of posts here, but I’m glad you’re home.
Hi sj! Is your profile email good for contacting?
Today we celebrate the birth of Brenda! I'm hoping you are having a spectacular birthday weekend, and that this year brings you all you hope for and more.
Good to hear your updates, Sophia. You seem to have things well under control, which is no surprise to me!
I hope this is a good fit for Mr. S., Sheryl. I know how difficult it has been for your family to find the right solution for him.
Back in Otter Lake, with my post-air-travel ick as usual. But not bad. Hope to have things wrapped up and ready to travel by end of week. I wish things were progressing better for my sister, but she is pretty much 100% confined to bed and that makes fighting lung congestion complex. She has multiple things going on but I don't have much I can do for her right now.
Happy birthday brenda!
I hope that works out well for Mr S, Sheryl
That sounds rough, Laura. Best wishes for your sister.
