But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

That which does not kill you should RUN

ltc is currently beta reading a new novel for an author we met at a book fair over the summer. The author reached out to me via BlueSky.

That's awesome!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

This kid goes to book fairs and asks thoughtful, intelligent questions while my mind goes blank and my tongue gets tied up.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Go ltc, that’s awesome!

Thrive to spite them

Wtg ltc!

Debet that sucks about your job.

Tuesday I will finally go to get blood drawn for HRT stuff to see what my levels are. I was supposed to do this 2 weeks ago but I didn't want to leave the house one week and the other week I didn't want to try and find the blood draw place (normally I do it at my doctor's but they were closed). This Tuesday is ALL THE ONEROUS TASKS THAT HAVE PILED UP.

I'm 53. I had a period October 2025 and the one before that either Sept or October 2024. So I'm hoping this Oct will be nothing. And that HRT can help.

Mom is moved into her new rental house. It's about a little bigger but laid out different and they put in a 2nd bathroom so the living room area is smaller. It's narrower and is divided into a living room and a dining area but there is also eat in area for the kitchen (these three rooms run across the front of the house). But her landlords are nice and she seems happy. Although she said she needs to get rid of more stuff.

I had a flat tire Thursday, I discovered it when a coworker told me it looked flat (she parked beside me). Another co worker put the spare on and then Friday M got me to work and found a replacement tire .

We are go to Florida in less than 3 weeks. Yay. Early voting starts the 19th so we have to do early voting because we will come back on Election Day.

Askye, I hope your mother is able to settle in comfortably at her new place.

We went to a festival at a Maronite Church today and ate tons of delicious food, ltc got a henna tattoo, a d I’m enjoying looking at the autumn leaves on the way home.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

The Covid-19 vaccination I got Friday has been kicking my ass all weekend. I overslept yesterday and missed taking my mom on our usual Saturday morning walk in the park. (We tried after lunch, but the area we normally walk in was closed off for a bike race.) Then last night/today I slept 10 hours, and still have the sore arm at the injection site. I suppose I should be thankful for the clear indication that it's working.

Despite being a slugabed I did get my grocery order done yesterday, bought treated deck screws, and managed to fasten most of the loose pickets in my street-facing fence to the rails. Some that are swollen by rain will have to dry out before I can wrangle them into position, then once that's done I'll be set to resume painting next weekend.

Our wings are not tired

I got the double jab of flu and covid on Monday and thankfully it didn't bother me. Kristin got hers this week and she's been feeling off.

I got my flu and Covid shots on Friday in the same arm and it feels like the Hulk punched me. I felt fine yesterday, but low-grade crappy today. Worth it, though.
