My medical nerd side is fascinated with how opioids/opioid receptors interact with neurotransmitters.
It is a likely good thing that I can't take any of the opioids, or any type of HRT either. Really every med I ever had to take didn't agree with me so I avoid them as much as possible. I take child dosages of those I need.
so I am also experiencing Sherman Potter withdrawal.
Understandable.
My big excitement for the day was having the luminary removed from my nails. They have been coated for 3 years and needed to take a breathing break. They are pretty sad and will be generously doused with coconut oil for a couple months while keeping them super short. They grow like weeds so I hope to go back to polish by Christmas.
My niece says my mom's surgeon is OKing her dropping the opiate and just taking Tylenol and ibuprofen. She has really not been liking the side effects. Hopefully two days will not be enough to mess up her neurotransmitters too badly? Fingers crossed

Oh, man, that's a steep price for something you really really need!
