UGH, Atropa that sounds so awful.

I just had an incredibly creepy experience of realizing halfway through a call to schedule some plumbing work that I was almost definitely talking to a bot and not a person. The voice was realistic and there was even some call center background noise, but there was something off about the entire call and once I started paying attention I could hear "him" re-using identical phrases with identical tone and cadence (and responding very oddly to my corrections when he misheard me).

I had just enough doubt not to flat out ask "are you a human being" but I'm like 99% sure it wasn't. Do not like.

Unsettling if the bots are actually answering phone calls and speaking rather than just dailing them for telemarketers. The voice didn't by any chance sound like Jenette Goldstein's?

Jessica if I think I'm talking to a bot I will say something totally random and wait for the reaction. I haven't dealt with a lot of the situation but one time I wasnt sure I said something like "pies in the fridge".

But if I'm sure it's a bot I end up rambling about elephants and giraffes. I don't know why but I did that once and now it's stuck.
