I just saw the sad news about Bridget. I only met her in person the once, but she will be missed all the same.
Happy birthday, Flea! Happy house-buying, Hec!
askye, my in-laws moved into an independent senior living place last year and they LOVE it.
I took my car in for its six-month checkup (I don't drive it enough to stretch visits out to 5k miles) and I'm starting to think this car might not be worth repairing any more. It's 13 years old and every time I take it in for an oil change/tire rotation they find something else that needs to be replaced, and I'm having to do the mental math of "what % of the car's trade-in value is this costing me." (This time the really spendy one was replacing the tire pressure sensors which would have come to almost $1000 and so I decided not to. I might see if Costco or somewhere else can replace them for less but I'm not going to spend a third of what this car is worth to get rid of an annoying blinky light.)
