Our wings are not tired.

Happy birthday meara!!

In house hunting news, my realtor suggested I see other realtors. Apparently finding a house or condo with a main floor laundry and wood burning fireplace is akin to finding a unicorn. I did not know realtors could and would dump you. I’m getting flashbacks to my 20s.

Calli, if you find a house with laundry where you want it, it is possible to install a wood burning fireplace after the fact as long as you are okay with a stove type? I had one installed in my den here in CT and love it!!

Thanks! Now that it's scheduled, I'm antsy to get it done so I can move forward and get back to being more active.

Welcome to the Triad, Debet!

Debet, I meant to ask: how far are you in Midnight Burger?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I just finished episode 6, so not far.

I have a friend called Leif, and I was worried that the name being pronounced Leaf was going to be a problem for me.

And then they lampshaded it in episode 2!

Oh, yay, Debet. So much good listening ahead for you!

Pronunciation fun, whee! I really liked how they handled that. I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that there’s a character with my name but pronounced not how I say it and that was a bit distracting…

Thrive to spite them

I think I have to start listening to this.

We have been having a Pie Extravaganza at our house. We have a fig tree that has yeilded a lot of figs this year and M has been making fig pie. Using store bought crust but he has made a plain one, 2 with fig jam, one with mandarin oranges cut up with it and I can't remember what he added to the one last night.

They don't last long in the house and I'll be sad when there are no more figs.

I am no longer feeling frustrated and burned out at work. The new overnight team lead is amazing. I haven't met him but I can see a difference. And they switched picking for delivery orders to the responsibility of the drivers. But that hasn't gone well so that is ending. I've had a break from spending most days helping them AND that team has jad less work so they hsve beem helping mine.

And we have a new store manager starting the 5th that everyone seems positive about.

I just have to schedule my vacation

Glad to hear that, askye! Pie extravaganza sounds very exciting and it’s always good when work sucks less
