You don't have to tell me it's a reminder, really, just remind me. I don't mind, I know I forget things sometimes! I actually really like when people respond to the original request with just "following up" or "keeping this warm" or "we need this soon" or whatever actually made them think they needed to do the reminding.
IOWorkNews: more layoffs, sigh. Just a few people and an email notification so we know not to contact them if they are part of our workflow, I guess, which feels like a very weird way to handle it.
I'm almost hoping I get laid off at this point. If I make it through the rest of the year without, I will probably quit in March, so a severance package might be nice.
erika, I read somewhere that they actually broke up a couple of years ago but the news is only getting out now. I'm sure people talk about her love life way more than her colleagues', so I can understand keeping it quiet
Everyone is still in the org chart so I am looking to see what their positions were. I only ever worked with a couple of them. Not seeing much of a pattern. They may have been focused on brands that are going away, that's not listed on the chart...
My diamond shoes are too tight: I had my claws redone yesterday, and decided to change things up and get bright cherry red magnetic cat eye polish. Except now that I'm out of the salon, the color isn't bright cherry red, but bright watermelon red, which means it has an orange tone. Le sigh.

Dang, there was a 3-alarm fire about a quarter mile from my house "early this morning" and I had no idea, learning about it from FB. Didn't hear sirens, didn't smell smoke, didn't notice anything amiss. When there was a grass fire a similar distance in the opposite direction I was *very* aware of it, but that was also during the day.
Im traveling with my sister and two “cousins” (moms best friend from high school’s daughters, who we grew up with). I’ve traveled with my sister before but not the cousins. Sister is ok. One cousin is great. The other one is adore but…kind of expected to be exactly the way she is. Luckily her sister is also very aware and very helpful. We are leaving Iceland and heading to London now! Just in time for it to cool down, thankfully. I do not need 90F anywhere. Especially somewhere without good A/C.
We are back from ltc’s birthday trip to Salem. I want to go back right now. There was not a day that went by that Teacup and I didn’t get a compliment on our clothes or my make up. It almost got to the point where I could accept a compliment without thinking that the person was just being nice.
