Burrito was excellent and will be at least two meals. Well worth it.
And the people organizing our reunion just published that it'll be $200 for tailgating at the homecoming football game and then a gala on Saturday including a souvenir t-shirt and what looks like a coffee cup. Which seems pretty reasonable and might be fun except I would also have to get there and find a hotel and take time off from work and none of that sounds fun. Well, taking time off from work actually always sounds like a good idea and I'll have vacation time accrued by then (end of October ish). Hm.
Probably renting a car, too, I doubt getting around without one has gotten any better
I got my eyes examined. only minor improvements. My left eye continues to be a lazy bastard that doesn't want to focus.
Tried on frames and had M take pictures and some how they are all completely unflattering. I was going to post them on FB but now I'm not. You also can't really tell the variations in the glasses for some reason.
I was very drawn to these [link]
but they are too big for my face (the earpiece didn't fit very well behind my ears) and I don't really like the color but those were the ones I kept trying on.
Then I think these were ones I liked-- the clear bottoms meant it didn't look so heavy on my face

and M liked these [link]
and there were a pair that had red half frames that I kind of liked but I don't see a picture , i really wanted to see if they had another color. Also if those green ones had been in a different shade of green or blue or purple I would have had a hard time saying no to them. I don't know why I was just drawn to them.
Oh, read it wrong, it's $125, the $200 is for an additional guest to everything. Not that that makes a big difference, the actual thing would be the least expensive part of the trip but it feels different.
Looking into how impractical taking the train would be. Pretty darn impractical but maybe not prohibitively so?
