Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Happy birthday David!

I also went out to the sail250 shops, really just drive a neighbor. I sat away a bit at 3 of the locations while she went and looked at the ships. Saw a lot of the flybys of the 4 air units there. They are very loud.

Happy Birthday, David!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy Birthday, David!

Thanks, sj!

It was an excellent birthday, though deficient in cake. I'm making up for it by having banana bread for breakfast.

I made some chili, and Matilda and Emmett came over and we watched Rushmore together. A first time for Matilda, and Emmett hasn't seen it since he was 15. Though I've seen it many times, I haven't seen it in probably a decade but I still love it as much as I did on my first viewing. Went over very well with the kids.

That concluded my busy weekend, which began on Thursday, when my friend Jes did her drag show at the bookstore, then Friday my friend Rowan's bday party at Alembic. Both of which were super fab and fun.

Normally I'd be off to Pilates at 9am on Monday morning but my school is closed for summer break, and also my therapist is on vacation so my Monday is completely open. Am I taking advantage of this schedule to get my oil changed and my car smog checked? No. Not as yet anyway.

I'm in the window seat quaffing coffee and about to rouse Matilda from her bed.

Happy belated, Hec! I hope your cake deficit is addressed forthwith

Our wings are not tired.

I am having a productive Monday getting packed up for my northern migration. Also went for my 6 month teeth cleaning visit. I really like the hygienist so that is actually a pleasant event, although my tongue will be busy the rest of the day checking out the scraped surfaces.

The animals are eyeing me with heightened curiosity as I assemble their travel items.

Ridiculous, my diamond shoes are too tight complaint: my acrylic nails have grown out enough that it makes typing a smidge difficult. I have an appointment at my salon today, thank goodness.

Example sentence with all the typos: look I sloow love having long clawes, but so,etoi9mes the grow out e is a paint eo to deal with.

That which does not kill you should RUN

I officially have Too Many Life Maintenance Things To Do and I need a personal assistant to organize them and an extra week to get them accomplished:

Pick up Rx at CVS
Pick up new glasses at Target
Tim has a medical thing I have to drive him to on Monday 7/6
Friend's birthday party on 7/18
The car has its whatever-thousand-mile service on 7/20
Murderbiscuit needs a checkup and teeth cleaning scheduled
I have to (re)schedule the colonoscopy I started to schedule last year right when Tim was diagnosed with cancer
I need a haircut so badly that earlier today I thought about doing it myself (I will NOT)
I need to follow up on the pinched nerve neck bullshit I was doing PT for (it's about 60% resolved, so probably a steroid injection in my spine is next)
I have a really painful ear infection currently that I'm taking meds for, but I feel like it's not improving, so I should follow up on that

Plus, you know, work and other life responsibilities like groceries and cleaning and maybe some actual recreation.

Okay, writing it all out actually made me feel better, in the sense that I was feeling guilty for feeling so overwhelmed by the shit I need to do, but now that I see it written down, that's actually a lot of shit, and feeling overwhelmed is a reasonable response. Okay! Fuck the Giant List Of Responsibilities!

That is a lot! I also have a prescription to pick up at CVS, so, like solidarity. Not going to list out the many many things that I should do and probably will not, but you are welcome to imagine a myriad (I mean, I hope to do some of them but there's always the possibility that I won't because Fuck the Giant List Of Responsibilities!)
