It's actually been a really hard year, when you stop and do the math. Eliot would cry, too, if it didn't take him seventy minutes of therapy, two cocktails, and a Sondheim medley before he can experience a human emotion through the haze of his PTSD.

In one of my group chats, one of my friends was excited because she talked her husband into playing guitar at an open mic night, and she said the name of the pub is "Immortal Vibes." You can't ignore a setup like that, so I said "The name of that bar makes it sound like a place vampires hang out."

NOT A SINGLE LAUGH. How dare.

As one still cranky about the time Ticky asked (while watching Wednesday S1, ages ago), if I thought Tim Burton had any patterns, and I replied "Black and white stripes?" and NO ONE LAUGHED, I both feel your pain and give them the side eye.
