Always Anti-fascist!

how would weight make your skin peel? The same way my disability made me have an eyelid condition I never had till college(developed a sulfa allergy, in non-bigot medicine!) Hope you had a great day, Tep.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have barely seen Matilda since her graduation. She sleeps in until after noon, then meets up with a friend. Then they go see a late movie or hang out and she's sleeping over. Then she comes home the next day to shower and is gone again to hang out with another friend. She doesn't sleep over that night but comes after midnight, and sleeps in past 1. And so on.

Which is fine. I remember the summer after graduation, but I wasn't quite expecting to have so much Empty Nest as yet.

EM is coming over Tuesday afternoon to help me with paperwork and organizing, and she's staying over that night. So Emmett and Matilda will be here for us all to have dinner.

Wednesday is the day my friend Jes comes over to paint flowers on my back steps (an ongoing project). Thursday is JZ's birthday and we might do something. Friday is my birthday and I have some plans.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I guess multiple marketing teams woke up and chose violence against the monster fans. Not only did the trailer for Robert Eggers' Nosferatu drop, but Universal Studios posted a video with details about the Dark Universe theme park attraction.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Doggo! I hope it is a good fit.

He's huge. But also I think would be a good fit, if not literally because I don't know that he'll fit in a dog door.

He has a family that has loved him the whole three years he's been alive but the wife developed severe allergies when she got pregnant with their 18-month old and she's pregnant again so can't even take medication that only slightly helps. So he's living outside. They've been trying to rehome him for a year and clearly love him. He's groomed monthly, still has a shaved leg from annual bloodwork.

If I decide I am ready for a dog, he's coming to live with me. I just need to really consider it.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sure the family is sick over having to give him up. I had to stop my allergy medication when I was pregnant and was completely miserable. My midwife had me go to acupuncture which 100% cured my allergies and I didn't have to take meds again. Only after decades is it slightly back again. Maybe ask her if that is something she would consider? I know it sounds crazy, but the difference was nothing short of miraculous.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I hope the doggo works out Cass. Sounds like you might need each other.

Sophia, bonus points for use of the word 'inordinate'!b

DH continues to improve. One tell is that, unlike when he's in top shape my suggestions slide right offa him. At the moment he's open to them. Thanks for all the good ~ma.

David, I hope the next few days are good, and that you enjoy your birthday. Ahead-wishes for you.

Having oneroused all morning, paying bills, confirming appointments that hadn't appeared in my portal chart, bathroom and kitchen stuff--scalding and scrubbing a dozen waterbottles, filtering water and filling them, etc. , morning dishes. Actually eating some breakfast. I'ma have a healthy apple cinnamon cookie with the remnants of my breakfast tea and take a nap.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm glad you are taking time to think about it, Cass. Not a decision to be impulsive about.

Also glad you have plans for potentially rough times coming up, Hec.

And glad the Benadryl helped more than expected, Sophia! What a thing. My niece finally got diagnosed with allergies (not sure to what exactly, she just said she was allergic to NYC, I think that means some common combo of dust and mold) that were behind years of mystery illnesses and she's kind of mad about it because it's "just" allergies but she's got prescription Flonase now that apparently helps a lot. So I hoped you end up with an easy way to avoid brain fog in the future!

I know next to nothing about Nosferatu but the trailer looks pretty darn good.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

This sinus infection is kicking my ass. I feel like dogshit. My brain is tapioca. These antibiotics need to work a little harder. (I started them Saturday evening, so I'm assuming they should start to do stuff pretty damn soon.) In the meantime, I'm going to dramatically drape myself across the bed.

Sounds like a well-earned cookie and nap, Bev! What an excellent reward for onerousing.
