I hate to break it to you, oh impotent one, but you're not the big bad anymore, you're not even the kind of naughty.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr. S was discharged from the hospital yesterday. Now to establish routines and boundaries. (Not doing so well on that re: the Switch today)

Hey Sumi! So nice to see your words!

Calli, sending jobma your way.

It's so hot today that I'm all about couch rotting.

Good luck Calli! And good luck making it to a test center or having results that your chosen schools will accept, Shir!!

I enjoyed Project Hail Mary but felt like the book was better for most of the space/science bits. Either it was more believable when not seeing it, or it was more spelled out and less hand-wavey (even if scientifically I’m sure it made no sense). But it was already really long so I guess they didn’t have time to spell more of it out!

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, the movie captured the book's emotions well, but the book was filled with so much sciencey goodness.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

There was a fair bit of stuff in the movie that I raised an eyebrow at for the science, but it definitely hits in the feels. Dr. Grace and Rocky are both intensely charming in it. Apparently Gosling heard people who were talking about having chemistry with a block of concrete as a metaphor and said "challenge accepted."

Yah, those are my thoughts, too, Matt. I can already tell it'll be a comfort movie for me, and I like having the book in my head to help with the hardwavy. I think I may get the audiobook for fun. Trifetca!
