"The thing about dorks is we stick together. Mostly for gaming purposes but also because it wards off jocks, gutter clowns and other Stephen King-like threats." - Lauren Okie

That article from Blair Braverman is the best thing I think she's ever written. I'm amazed NYT ran it.

It's so beautiful and poignant, isn't it? I texted it to sarameg this morning because it immediately reminded me of her.

That article from Blair Braverman is the best thing I think she's ever written.

Bookmarked for later!

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Heat wave kind of getting me down, though Mom is out in it more than I. I wish I hadn't missed "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" when it was on, but I'm sorry that my stream is over, too.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh thank goodness it looks like the heat wave here is about to break: only in the 70s over the weekend.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Not sure what thread to post this in, but Nicholas Brendan's family posted on his Facebook page that he passed away. [link]

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I think it's here.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Another workforce reduction. I still have a job but three of my sales people are gone. This sucks.

Oh, sad crosspost.
