Aww, that is a good sign, meara.
Well done, Trudy! So glad it came together.
Quick healing ~ma, ND.
DH went to his new PCP yesterday and brought home a fistful of referrals. Most urgently, he has gone to the Ophthalmologist this morning because of light flashing in one eye. Hoping for ocular migraine and not a retinal tear, but we will know in a few minutes.
I am doing Onerous Medical Tasks. Yesterday: annual gyno appt. Today: annual eye exam. Yesterday: scheduled annual physical. Todo: schedule mammogram.
I do not like the onerous medical tasks. Where do I sign up to get a self-healing body that does not require me to talk to people about it over the phone.
That is a lot of poking and prodding in a short amount of time
Indeed it is. What happened to the days when our bodies took care of themselves quietly as long as we ate some pizza or ramen and got a few hours sleep?

Yes, please give me the "healthy and in my mid-twenties" package. This late 40s version is BULLSHIT.

Preach. I remeber very well the first time a doctor said something like, "...a little bit of arthritis and a bone spur there. We'll send you to PT." But like, no "It'll clear up in a month or so." Just, yup, that's in your life now.
The sad thing is I’m almost certainly healthier and in better shape than I was in my 20s, for the most part…and yet time still has me messed up. Boooo.
I'm glad to have the procedure done my my head, but last night and today the site with the stiches is aching quite a bit. I can remove the intial bandage tomorrow morning and then I can rinse the area and get into wound care on it so that it doesn't scar.
I'm sorry for the pain, ND. That stinks. May it go away quickly.
I made a roasted chicken with a homemade, tasty rub and cooked it on top of some vegetables, and I made a GF banana bread today. I am proud of myself! That's all.
DH is still up n in PA -- his mom fell and hurt her knee Sunday, which sent her back to the ER, but this time they kept her for observation and did a couple of procedures to increase her comfort. She's supposed to head to rehab at her (very nice) independent-to-whatever level of care you need place tomorrow. Sending good transition vibes her way.
The meeting/training session that was scheduled from 10:30-noon ran until 1:30pm. Solong my airpods made a little noise to tell me they were running out of juice, I didn't know they did that. AND it's stuff I am, like, a backup for the backups to do so I don't really need to feel like I've mastered it so it was very boring. Fortunately, my mom made me lunch and brought it to me while I was listening and twiddling my thumbs - smoked salmon with pastrami seasoning over avocado on a bed of corn and peas. Sometimes Mom is fancy. It was lovely.
