Marco: Do we look reasonable to you? Mal: Well. Looks can be deceiving. Jayne: Not as deceiving as a low down dirty... deceiver.

Our wings are not tired.

Be safe and warm my snowbound friends.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

How many Abominable Snowmen are roaming the streets?

There are total travel bans in place across multiple counties which I assume have been limiting their movement.

So, just packs of Abominable Snowmen sheltering in place? It's good to know they're law-abiding.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Looks like we're at a foot and a half, but my super is a ROCK STAR so I was able to walk the dog (who is not quite a foot).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The road travel ban up here was extended until 6pm so my snow removal guy won't be coming around until tomorrow. (And I will be shocked if schools are open.)

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Luckily, we didn't get a lot of snow, and the roads(including the parking lot at my complex) have been plowed. Worst part of going to work was removing the snow/slush/ice from my car. Of course, they cancelled school for today. (Mr. S went with the nanny and Gary worked from home) Tomorrow its open.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Good morning, from a blue sky San Francisco.

I don't have Pilates until 3:30pm, and EM is still in Montana with her partner so my morning is open.

(Tuesday is usually the day she would come in and we'd go through my papers together and deal with onerous tasks. I was paying for her office manager skills.)

I mean, it's open in the sense that I don't have to rush out the door and be somewhere, but I do have a big stack of Onerous Tasks awaiting me.

So I'm girding myself for opening unpleasant tax related mail and working my way through a phone tree and (worst of all) cleaning the Guinea Pig cage.

Yesterday, I managed to do an impromptu pivot into socializing with Rachael, my Pilates teacher. I walked by Bar Crudo (which is a fancy fish place in her neighborhood) and pinged her saying, "Hey, they've got some open tables. I wouldn't mind a cup of their seafood chowder and a glass of champagne..." and she joined me, and we got seated 15 minutes before the kitchen closed.

How are your Tuesdays rolling out?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm in the office, planning on cashing in my birthday free item at Carl's Jr for lunch before that expires and do a Costco run on the way home. Pretty exciting!
