Ha! Yeah, we’re only in sporadic contact mostly because he has two jobs and plays in several bands so our text conversations are always asynchronous and spread thin over time. Anyway, he and his first wife were living with her parents in Texas: brother working on getting sober, wife very much not. She was stepping out on him and actually killed the guy she was seeing by hitting him with a car. I am pretty sure I trauma dumped about it here, but that was years ago, now. So brother moved out but stayed friendly with her parents and didn’t want to file for divorce while she was on trial and all that. At this point asking what the legal situation is seems awkward. He eventually moved up to Portland and stayed with my sister for a while getting his feet back under himself. And now engaged.
Saffron: You won't tell anyone about me breaking down? Mal: I won't. Saffron: Then I won't tell anyone how easily I got your gun out of your holster. Mal: I'll take that as a kindness.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".
A couple of days ago one of the most prolific and talented musicians we had here passed away (Matti Caspi). I thought it was a good opportunity to introduce you to the one of the best clips of musical performance in a challenging setting I know of: playing in kibbutz' dairy farm, where one of the good folks there thought it'll be funny to smear something on the back of your custom so that the cows will find you interesting (I think it was honey but I'm not sure if I remember correctly).
