Levi's has a history of butt-centric ads, it was some other ad that I cannot now recall that had me trying to remember where "BUTTS" as a general comment came from. I could not, so I'm glad y'all reminded me of Knut
There were a lot of appalling or offensive ads but I think the insurance company using Mr Rogers's song felt the most wrong
Consensus in our group of viewers was the "is it cake?" ad was pretty good, the horse and eagle was popular and the rest were meh to bad. I may be forgetting some that were all right but not, I think, many.
Yes, the horse and eagle was mighty cute. All the tech ones were pretty boring. I posted the NYT summary with all the links on FB since most of my family don't watch the game.
I didn't watch the Superbowl but checked the score and was happy to see the Patriots losing. Sorry New England friends.
The Bad Bunny show looked to be more significant cultural event.
Looking out the window I can spy a hummingbird at the top of the tree. But I can't linger, I've got to get to my morning Pilates class.
My niece is coming out to visit this week. Excited to see her.
I don't know Bad Bunny's music at all but that halftime show was fantastic
I started out rooting for the Seahawks by default but was enthusiastic about them before too long. A fun game!

Same, and definitely same. It was delightful!
Also loved Green Day getting to perform American Idiot (and Holiday) before the most American of all sporting events.
I guess I don't have to root *against* the Patriots anymore since Ol' Deflated Balls moved on, but the Seahawks may have adopted Robbie Graham-Kuntz as their good luck charm this year so I had someone to cheer on for a change.
Mind you, I forgot all about the Superbowl while it was actually on and went to see

at the movies instead. I only realized the occasion when I went to a pizzeria to pick up dinner and saw how many customers and delivery drivers were going in and out. Cue Charlton Heston: [link]
For those outside of MCR fandom: the current tour has a storyline and lore that increases with every show. A couple of the fans created a TV Tropes page for it. On the one hand, yay, a place to keep track of the evolving lore! On the other hand, grrrrrrrrrrr TV Tropes flames flames. So I reblogged the TV Tropes history post on Tumblr. Every time I do that, the reblogs fill up with people saying
"Wait, WHAT happened?"
Superbowl Day is one of those days where I feel not quite American--it's a lot of hoopla that I'm very much outside of and watching movies for.(Although I'm used to it now so it comes without that little bit of {sigh."Fine,"} drama. And I know the hoopla with actual hoops starts in March, but no, never did a bracket either.
As far as the cola wars, as someone who frequently needs to settle her stomach, I am now team Coke, but it's ironic because as a kid I was thirsty during a virus and had Pepsi before I should have and it was, like a decade before the bad association with cola in general fully passed.(Also, it probably took that long before I needed an artificial energy boost, right?)
