Happy Birthday Cass!!
I had gear low key birthday. Went up to Moms and spent the night. We had "Old Mexican" Saturday and "New Mexican" Sunday. Meaning we went to our old usual Mexican restaurant and then to the new favorite. Brevard has like....6 or 7 Mexican restaurants.
M got me the Lego Tuxedo Cat that looks exactly like Penny (on my FB and Instagram). Except Lego!Penny has a white tipped tail . M saw it and worked to track it down and I love it. I've never put together a Lego project that big (1710 pieces) but the Lego Builder app has been recommended. Im going to start it tomorrow.
Dad had to have 2 colonoscopies in 3 weeks the last one required 4 days of a clear liquid diet. There was a large polyp that had to be removed but he is ok. He just didn't feel like driving up for Birthday/Father's Day weekend.
BIRTHDAY? MORE LIKE BIRTHYAY!
Am punchy. Obviously.
Happy birthday!
There is an Onerous Work Project that I've been assigned and it is proving to be Extremely Onerous.
Happy birthday to Cass! Yaaaaay!
Dad was released from the hospital, fittingly enough, on Father's Day. He has a bunch of appointments, including one with his specialist to talk about how the slow treatment they've been doing for the deep hemorrhoids is not working fast enough, and he should probably have surgery.
(The surgeon at the hospital said,
"You've been admitted to a hospital three times in the past six months, and it's been worse each time. If it was up to me, I'd book you for surgery right now, because there's no guarantee someone will get to you in time for you to survive the next time this happens."
Thank you, nice surgeon, for finally making Dad listen.)
Happy Birthday, Cass!
Thank you, nice surgeon, for finally making Dad listen.
Yeah, Dad of Atropa, listen to the damn doctors! Stop stressing out your daughter (and your body).
Glad he's home, Atropa, and glad he's listening!
Cass! Happy birthday, my friend!!
Damn, Atropa, that is seriously scary. Get on that scheduling, dad of Atropa!
Thanks for the support. I am so looking forward to working with almost all women. I spent a couple hours in a NOLA cemetery helping my colleagues fix a broken tombstone, and it was actually healing to have my input listened to and valued.
In contrast, my (female) boss from last job texted me today to say that if I didn't pay her the $120 I still owe for Cobra today she'd cancel it retroactive to 5/31. Did i mention here they fired me via text "for my own good" ten days before my scheduled last day or work? She is a "one of the guys" kind of woman in certain ways.
I paid it and resisted the temptation to reply. Moving on to better things.
sometimes a woman can totally be The Man. Tragic but true.
I'm not sure if I'm really a ladyboss, though I used to imagine it sometimes. But I could never really cancel someone's health insurance.
