Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Congrats on the award, atropa!

What an annoying series of events, dcp.

Today a scammer tried to lure me with a job offer. The whole process seemed a bit rushed, so I called someone at the company that was supposedly head hunting me, and they told me it was a known scammer. While I’m glad to get that worked out before the scammer got my social security number or whatnot, it’s still disappointing that it wasn’t a real thing.

Congrats Atropa!

That day does sound annoying, dcp.

-t I believe True Lemon sells its own products on its website. At least they did because I bought a whole bunch earlier this year.

I remembered why I stopped posting so much, and it is because I am so annoyed by the autocorrect on my phone! I don’t have time to post at work anymore, so my phone on the bus is the best place. But it took me so long to get your names not to be dumb!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thanks, Sophia! A pox on autocorrect, especially wrt names!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I would much rather have you posting than worrying about names, Sophia.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Today in first-world problems: There's a restaurant that has a spaghetti with mushroom and tomato sauce that I ordered once and really liked -- the combination of spices in the sauce was just perfect -- but it's also ridiculously expensive for just pasta and a sauce made of fairly cheap ingredients, so I haven't ordered it again in a while. I just got back to Cincinnati, and I figured I can get something I really like for dinner after being on a plane all day, so I ordered it through DoorDash. It arrived, and it's totally different than it was before -- the sauce is basically just tomatoes and garlic, and the pasta is linguini. It's edible, but very much not what I wanted, and definitely not worth what I paid for it.

Jeezy Creezy, I just replied to Dana in another thread about Pluribus, and that was so stressful! But thank you! Maybe I will get it to learn names!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Congrats Atropa!

Ugh. They have changed the performance evaluation system at work. Not only are they trying to keep down the number of 4 and 5 ratings, they are insisting on a self-analysis of one's performance including listing achievements. Guess I'm not going to be getting many financial awards from now on...

Congratulations on the award, Atropa!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

How I know I'm old: not only am I eating prunes, I also have opinions on the best brand of prunes.

I'm going to go cry into my AARP tote bag now.
